We recommend Esztergom and Visegrád to our clients, who are interested in classicist cathedrals, castles, medieval tournaments and traditions. Esztergom and Visegrád are situated in the Danube Bend’s unique picturesque environment. Due to its location, Esztergom has many outstanding viewpoints. Our first stop is the Esztergom Basilica, one of the most important 19th century cathedrals in Hungary that is also the largest. A few minutes walk from here takes us to the northern bastion of the Esztergom castle, where the famous Saint Stephen statue stands, commemorating the crowning of the founder king of Hungary. We continue our walk to the Esztergom Castle Museum where we can learn about the mysteries of the medieval castle. From here we depart to Visegrád, and our next site is the Salamon Tower, where we can watch an authentic medieval tournament. After the demonstration, the Renaissance Restaurant waits for us with a gorgeous feast. Our last stop is the Visegrád citadel and the Royal Palace, where we can travel back in time to the prime of the Kingdom of Hungary.
