Balaton Sightseeing Tour Description
During our Balaton tour, we visit the following locations: Siófok, Tihany, Balatonfüred and Csopak. Our first destination is the Siófok water tower, that also became the icon of the city. The tower is unique as two panoramic lifts take us to the top of the monument, where we can enjoy a fascinating view of the Balaton. Our second stop is the popular Millennium Park in Siófok, that is also the home of several public sculptures. After relaxing in the park, we take the ferry over to Tihany on the northern shore of the lake. Here, after a nice lunch, we visit the Tihany Abbey, the most impressive and popular sight in the area. Once in Tihany, a small walk over to the Via Dolorosa absolutely worth it, where we can experience the most beautiful look of the “Hungarian Sea” we can get in the city. One of the most famous spectacles of the location is the Tihany Echo, that is close by, and that also has a dedicated sculpture on site. From here we depart to Balatonfüred, the number one tourist paradise on the northern shore. We visit the Drinking Hall of the Lajos Kossuth Spring that was built in the 19th century, and we also take a pleasant walk on the wonderful Tagore Promenade. Then we discover the fascinating limestone and karst features of the Lóczy Cave. After the cave tour, we proceed to Csopak, where we consume a fine wine dinner in a cozy restaurant with an excellent view of the Balaton.
